Term One, week 5

Room 8 are starting their visits with Harold this morning (Tuesday 1 March), we are all very excited to learn more from Harold and Paula about been a good friend.  We have been doing our classroom values, which can be seen in our classroom window.

Term One, week 4

Swimming Fun Session Wednesday 24th February -Waikanae Pools!

We would love for you to join us, to help with supervision and getting children changed.  We ask that you meet us at the pool, as there will be limited room on the bus.  Only half of the children will be swimming at a time, the rest will be playing with sports equipment on the grass area.  

Our swim time is from 11.45-12.30 with Room's 7, 9, 20 and 21 (Te Waharua Tahi)

Please send your child to school in their togs so we only have to get changed once.  The tamariki (children) will need to bring their underwear and towel in their bag to get changed into after their swim.  Please make sure your child also has a good hearty lunch and lots of water to drink.

Term One, week 3

Encourage and support your child's reading at home.  Home readers are sent home from Monday-Thursday.  Room 8's library days are on a Friday so your child will bring home their  chosen library books over the weekend.  Please help to improve your child's reading by helping with their  home readers.  Can you please ensure that you are filling in your child's home reading logs daily.

Term One, week 2

Welcome to the second week of kura (school), I hope you all had a productive Waitangi Day and long weekend.  The children are settling into their routines fast and lots of fun learning is starting to occur.  I am looking forward to helping your child become a confident life long learner.
